Isaac is Bao Thy's teacher...

.. for a movie, of course!

Two years after the release of Công Chúa Teen và Ngũ Hổ Tướng/ Teen Princess and the Five Brave Generals, Bảo Thy continues to pursue her acting career in the 2012 summer movie Gia Sư Nữ Quái directed by Lê Bảo Trung. She will portray Huynh Mai, a "nữ quái" or "female monster." Huynh Mai is a stubborn and perverse daughter of a mobser. Because she hates school, her father hired a handsome and good-natured "gia sư" or "instructor" to tutor her. The instructor will be played by 365's Isaac. Because of filming, Isaac and 365 had to put a hold on promotions, and Bảo Thy had to cancel shows booked in Europe. While this is not Bảo Thy's first film, this marks Isaac's debut into the film industry.

Exciting new Vpop comebacks!

There are more Vpop comebacks this month- and boy are they good!

1. First up, we have Suboi. She is arguably one of Vietnam's best rappers. When Ho Ngoc Ha's song, "My Apology" debuted, everyone was fixated on finding out more about the rapper with a voice that was unfamiliar to the Vietnamese audience. In mid-2010, Suboi released her first album titled "Bước/Walk." This year, she will come back with a second album. Here is the promotion video for the new album. The song is called "1000 Watts."

Vpop stars' comeback for 2012

Many singers have been on a hiatus because of Vietnamese New Year. But now it's back to work! The following are upcoming albums/singles for the beginning of this year.

1. Nam Cuong- Album "I have a dream"

 "I have a dream" will be Nam Cuong's 4th vol. album. It will be released on February 7th. The audience will see a side of the singer that is more mature, masculine, and more inclined to dancing.

Nam Cuong will carry out this album with a pictured story book captured in Bath; a historical city in England which was occupied by the Romans.

What Is Stopping Vpop To Be As Big As Kpop????!

For a very long time, I keep questioning why Vpop can't be as big and popular as Kpop? It's obvious that Kpop is taking over the music industry in Asia, and many young Vietnamese audiences  idolize Kpop groups over Vpop groups (SNSD, Big Bang, 2PM, KARA, T-ARA, etc.)  Well, what about the new Viet groups?  (365, V.Music, X5, La Thang, etc.)  What is it that they're missing?  What will it take for them to get Viet teens' attention?  I'm sure I'm not the only one who is pondering upon this topic.

Last week I ran across an article that talks about this topic and I would like to share some of the points they addressed which may/may not answer the questions being raised above. 

Bao Thy's MV & The 16 Billion VND Limo

Bao Thy transforms into a sexy and stylish DJ in her new MV "Ngay Vang Anh", which will be released on 10/20/2011.  That's soon!! "Ngay Vang Anh" was written especially for Bao Thy by the talented songwriter Luu Thien Huong.  In case you didn't know, Luu Thien Huong had written and composed quite a few catchy songs such as "Nhip Dap Giac Mo" by Hoang Thuy Linh, or "Em Se La Giac Mo" by Hoang Hai. One of the things that made "Ngay Vang Anh" unique is the pink limousine that costs 16 billion VND, which is about $48,000 USD WOW! that is quite a large sum right? Well, at least for a Vietnamese singer it is.  Let's take a look at some of the footages from the MV :)
